Thank you for this beautiful tribute to La Bakair! I've been such a fan of hers for so long. I recently did an "abstract cabaret" tribute to her as part of my artist in residency at UCSD's Thurgood Marshall College. She was such an extraordinary artist/spirit. I amazed the planet could hold such a force of nature. Thank you for sharing this.
